I met Coleen Burns who belongs to the volunteer chapter, SW Ontario for Animals Asia. Of all places we met at our hairdressers. We then met again. I was very disturbed by our first meeting as she told me about the horrific situation with Moon Bears in China. I don’t want to disturb you. You could go to the website which is www.animalsasia.org. In essence the bears are not respected as dignified animals and nor are dogs and cats. Like many I don’t want to put my head in the sand and it is good to be educated. When you own pets like I do and dote over them and care for them with your heart and soul it is very hurtful knowing that others don’t feel the same way. Our cultures differ which also needs to be understood. It is people like Colleen and many others who care who have stepped forward to help sponsor bears and raise money for their sanctuary.
