God Made You Perfect Just The Way You Are

God Made You Perfect Just The Way You Are

Today is a day to honour who you are, just as you are.  God made you perfect.  How do I know that?  We are mostly spirit and only a percentage of us is human.  We are not manufactured but are unique in the cosmos.  We came to earth at a very difficult time as we help others understand their spirituality and connection to their spirit in a world of chaos.  We come from spirit and we go back to our spirit and in between, which is a very short time, we bring our wisdom, personalities, passions and our purposes with us.  We develop everything we are made of, and supposed to accomplish, over the years and our unique talents kick in along the way.  Some of us have a short existence as humans and others, much longer but we are all part of the collective.  We are always at the right time and the right place but often we grow impatient and restless and that is the human nature of being human whispering in our ears from our highly active and imaginative brain.  During the celebration of International Women’s Day help other women feel unique, valued and celebrate their contribution to the world by being joyful within yourself and thankful that God made your perfect just the way you are.

Cradle those You Love With Love

Cradle those You Love With Love

It is never too late to put your arms around someone you love or even if this person is a friend or associate hug them, shake their hand or touch them on the back.  We need to know that we belong.  When there is nobody else, the Angels are always there to cuddle and cradle us for we are all children of the universe.  Some people hug trees and guess what, the trees have Angels in them so your opportunity for nurturing is all around you, right before your eyes and within reach.

Ashley’s Return Home To Heaven – Poem & Doodle Art

Ashley’s Return Home To Heaven

By Gail McNaughton, January 20, 2011

She raised her arms toward heaven.

Her hair in tangles, tossed about,

Got caught in the branches of a flowering apple tree.

She was trying to float on the wind in the direction towards heaven.

A dove wrapped its wings around her,

And lifted her high above the branches,

Helping her find her way.

God peeked through the billowy, white clouds,

And gently lifted Ashley onto his lap.

He rocked her in his arms,

And smiled at her as his loving child.

As he cradled her, she asked many questions,

And was soothed with his answers.

The dove spread out his wings,

And Ashley lay on top,

Feeling cozy on the blanket of feathers.

He flew her to The House Of The Angels,

And they welcomed her.

She met old and new friends and felt quite at home.

They encouraged her,

To have one last look for now, through the glass floor,

And she could see her family, friends and colleagues far below.

She sent them warm wishes,

From her heart to theirs which they all felt with great affection.

The angels tied her hair with forget-me-nots,

And bathed her in rose water filled with pink petals.

She felt fresh from her journey,

And the special day of her soul’s return to heaven.

Warm sunlight shone upon her,

And Ashley closed her eyes,

As the angels knelt beside her in prayer.

“We love you just as your family and friends do”,

Was the whisper through their chanting.

“Your family will always be there for you,

But we will now take our turn in your care.

We will smile upon you as you sleep,

And know that in your dreams,

You can visit home anytime.

Sleep dear Ashley sleep,

And wake to the new dawn and a new transition,

And be at peace evermore”.

Gail will be reading the poem Ashley’s Return Home To Heaven at this event.

Family Clarity – Mixed Media Collage

Family Clarity

We are all a part of God’s family so the angels surround us everywhere to help guide us.  My Father and Mother were young once and went through the stages of life, growing old and going home to be with God and the Angels.  Here I am playing with the Angels and trying to be one of them.  My Father died on Remembrance Day so the little verse in the picture is about poppies being sent as a Valentine.  My Mom was his Valentine with red hair, freckles and a great big winning smile, a feisty attitude, good wife and career woman.  Birds carry messages on their wings and I have included an owl and Fairy wearing a song-filled bodily frock with a song in her heart.  It is said, “A friend is someone who knows the song in your heart and can sing it back to you when you have forgotten the words.” (Author Unknown)  They both have big hearts and are there to help anyone who asks.  The angels tell me that you just need to ask them for help and they say that few people are asking these days so many are feeling unemployed.  We all have a picture of special people in our lives and the angels hold our energy and soul close to them so that they can keep an eye on us and be ready to serve.  My Mom is hugging me in the bottom right corner and that is as good as it ever gets and a real remember when.  I am snuggled up in a snowsuit and she is wearing a racoon fur coat.  Interesting that I also own one too.  In the bottom left corner is The Unity cat draped with a sacred sash.  In the top right hand corner is a Flower Fairy and in the left top corner is baby Angel Grapeathia who sits and prays with the other angels.

Angels Love Cottage Life

Angels love to be in the woods up north where everything smells so fresh.  They fancy themselves to be “Nordic” in nature whatever the season.  They centre themselves and bring a feeling of calmness to the cottage experience.  There is a blending of the rocks, trees, water, flowers, sun and animals and they live in harmony with a peaceful coexistence with Angels and we humans.

The Four Seasons Mixed Media Art

This is the latest Mixed Media artwork I have done.  I put a border around the outside and it has various colours in it of green, black and fray.  The artwork moves from Winter on the right to Fall on the left.  You can see that I continue with my doodle art evolution even in this art with dots and slashes and such.  There is a nest in the tree in Spring with two eggs in it and a Cardinal in the tree in the Summer.  This artwork is sitting on the glass table up north with a bear candle (given to me by a neighbour Judy) on the right and another bird’s nest on the left (bought at the Horton Farmer’s Market.  I am going to add some gold on the dark leaves of Fall.  I have added glitter (sparkles that I love) to the snow in the Winter scene but it is hard to see.  To make snow we added salt to the water colour and it bubbled and then when the paint was dry you brush it off.  You will see typical seasonal foliage along the bottom.  I had lots of fun doing this.

The Four Seasons

The seasons of our lives are captured in this Four Seasons Mixed Media art.  Do we run and hide in the Winter or play outside and dance in the snowflakes seeing the sparkle of nature around us?  Do we take on new things in our lives in the Spring like moving, planning events, taking courses, self evaluation?  Do we search high and low for Spring Flowers to pick to put inside?  Do we luxuriate in the summer with its warm climate, magical flora and song-filled trees of our birdie friends?  Do we think about our past in the Fall or anticipate where we are going as we get back into the swing of things after the romance and recreation of Summer?  Fall is my favourite time of the year and I anticipate cool nights, soft lighting, autumn walks in the forest or down a country road.  It is a time when the trees and branches shine with spectacular colour and I feel like God has painted the earth.  There is nothing like having falling leaves spread their wings and brush your body while sunbathing in the sunlight as they make a welcome mat for you to walk on.

A Doodle is an Art

A doodle is an art. You can do this awesome art when you are also busy in some other interaction. A doodle is a type of sketch, an unfocused drawing made while a person’s attention is otherwise occupied elsewhere. Doodles are simple drawings that can have concrete representational meaning or may just be abstract shapes. Stereotypical examples of doodling are found in school notebooks, often in the margins, drawn by students daydreaming or losing interest during class. Other common examples of doodling are produced during long telephone conversations if a pen and paper are available.
